In a hockey landscape where wins and standings often take priority, the Montana Snowhawks have one clear mission: to be the best possible stepping stone a player can have on their way to Tier II junior hockey.
We’re not here to promise overnight jumps to college or Major Junior. We’re here to make you undeniably ready for the next realistic step—Tier II—so you can earn your call-up and keep climbing from a position of strength.
Our Development Difference
Most programs run the same generic flow drills every practice. We don’t.
Every Montana Snowhawks practice is built from scratch based on what the team and each individual is struggling with that week. We watch, we identify the exact gaps, and then we create drills that attack those weaknesses head-on. Players are purposely put into new, uncomfortable movements they’ll fail at first—because that’s the only way real breakthroughs happen. When they finally lock in the new edge, tighter pivot, or stronger puck-protection habit, their game takes a noticeable leap.
You’ll get hundreds of high-quality, targeted reps on the precise details that get players promoted to Tier II.
Schedule Built Around Development
All Montana Snowhawks players who are still in high school are required to be enrolled in online school. This gives us a full morning of hockey every day, with dedicated 2-hour on-ice sessions 3–4 times per week (plus extra skill work, video review, and small-area games). Players who have already graduated high school are free to manage their own schedule. We monitor grades in real time for our high-school-age athletes so everyone stays eligible while putting in maximum development hours.
Exposure
The Montana Snowhawks do everything possible to make sure our players are seen by Tier II teams and scouts.
You can start training with us this year through individual private lessons.
Our full team begins practicing next season—we’re in the middle of building the foundation right now so everything is ready to go when the Montana Snowhawks hit the ice together in 2026-27.
We don’t chase trophies.
We chase call-ups.
